Gerrit Cole and the Yankees were on cruise control going into the 5th inning after a 2-Run blast by Aaron Judge & a solo shot from Jazz Chisholm Jr followed by an rbi double by Volpe and lastly a solo shot by Giancarlo Stanton in the 4th inning making it a 5-0 game. BUT because this is baseball and weird things happen in October the Dodgers would tie the game in the 5th inning after Judge fails to catch a fly ball, Volpe throws the ball in the dirt after trying to make a play at 3B, and Gerrit Cole not covering 1st on a ball hit deep in the hole at 1st base and expected Rizzo to make the play. Cole would then come back and shut it down in the 6th inning. Stanton gets the Yankees back on the board in the 6th with a Sac Fly. But inevitably the Dodgers would come back and win 7-6 to win their 8th World Series in franchise history.
